Dr. Burkhart's Quick Nutrition Tip for Today

If you are trying to increase your fiber intake (spoiler: it is one of the eight things in today's article), try adding frozen raspberries to your diet (1 cup has 8 grams). They are low FODMAP, low-calorie, low-histamine, vegan, and gluten-free. If you live near a Trader Joe's, you can find inexpensive, organic frozen raspberries year-round.

Another high-fiber option and a TikTok favorite is chia seeds—also an easy add to foods. One tablespoon of chia seeds has 5 grams of fiber.

Don't forget to drink 6-8 oz of water when you eat high-fiber foods. Otherwise, constipation can be an issue.

Have a great day! And Happy Holidays!!!
