How Processed Foods Cause A Leaky Gut

Hi Everyone!

Most of us work hard to avoid Ultra-processed foods (UPFs), but it's challenging to do so completely, especially given everyone's busy lives. But why are they so bad for us?

I recently spoke with Everyday Health about ultra-processed foods and their specific effects on the gut. This piece focused on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and processed foods, but processed foods have the same negative consequences on your gut, even without IBD.

Take a look at the article to see why UPFs are so problematic and what you can do to minimize your intake of them and their negative effects.

New Restaurant Alert!!!

Authentic Italian Food!

100% Gluten-free

The owners of Montesacro, a popular 100% GF Italian Restaurant pop-up, have made their restaurant plans permanent and opened an entirely new restaurant!

Clementina is the result of the owner's young daughter ( who has celiac disease) wanting and needing a safe place to eat their traditional Italian fare in a comfortable, family-friendly environment.

The owner and the chef are both from Italy and wanted to create a place where people could gather and enjoy DELICIOUS Italian food that is also safe for those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Visit them, you will love it! Who can pass up warm, fresh bread, handmade pasta and pizza, or steak/seafood? And yes, there is a selection of desserts!

They are currently open for dinner only, but the plan is to expand to lunch and sell some of their items (like fresh handmade pasta!) at an in-restaurant store. Find Clementina's webpage below or by using my FREE worldwide 100% gluten-free restaurant locator (link at the purple button). We've added over 600 new restaurants. There are now over 2400 listings! You may find others near you. Email me if you don't see your favorite on the list.
