Today's topic may not be familiar to you, but it is important if you or anyone you know follows a restrictive diet, either for preference or medical need, or is simply known as a picky eater.

ARFID In adults is on the rise, and most people have never heard of it.

Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is increasingly being recognized in adults, especially among those with anxiety, a history of trauma, or on restrictive diets such as gluten-free, keto, low histamine, paleo, etc.

These diets are necessary for many people, but it is important to recognize the signs of ARFID to keep you and your loved ones healthy! -Dr. Burkhart
